Blurry Tiger Walk

Posted by ShoZu

This is a symbol for next year's Auburn season: We don't know what it will look like, but it will still be Auburn football, with all of its traditions and passions.

Here's a conversation between a friend and I. He's a Texas Longhorn fan and so he's somewhat familiar with Gene's body of work

Charles: any thoughts on the Gene Chizic hire?
Eric: Hopeful and Doubtful. All at the same time.
Charles: I know how you feel. I think he's a good coach. I'm surprised and troubled by his lack of success n Ames, but I think he will actually be a better coach now than he would have two years ago. I think I can safely say that if Tubervile had been forced out two years ago, and Chizik was hired, Auburn fans would be happy... still 5-19 does cause concerns.
Eric: Good assessment. I agree with you.
Charles: same thing happens in many professions. I've see it with with movie directors. often some guy (or girl) who has made a series of great commercials or music videos will be very hot and be able to make pretty much any movie they want. and then they generally have difficulty because the task is so much larger. but after making the failed movie, they find no one is interested for a while, because they are no longer "hot".
Eric: I might quote you on my blog, with credit of course. Is that OK ?
Charles: sure.
