The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time : Rolling Stone

The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time : Rolling Stone
There are a couple of obvious (to me) omissions:
Ace Frehley
Ted Nugent

Let me know your favorite guitarist that was left off the list...

Oops - just realized you said that was left "off" the list. Carlos was on the list. Oh well,at least I commented on your blog.

What is a list of greatest guitarist if there is no Slash? GNR was a decent band, but Slash was an awesome guitarist. This is a horrible travesty.

Can't argue with Jimi, B.B. or Clapton. SRV should've been higher, but I'm just being biased.

I can't see Carlos Santana being out of the top 10. My personal fav/top 5:

1. Jimi
2. Clapton
3. B.B. King
4. Santana
5. SRV.

I just noticed, Jack White is the only person on the list from a "recent" band. I can't argue with him at #17, just found it interesting nobody else from current bands (U2/Phish aside) made the list.

Joan Jett being on there is a joke. Can't believe they left off the Austin, Texas guy Redd Volkart. And Johnny Hiland is a must pick for any top guitarist list.

Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Tom Scholz, Ace Frehley(sry, cant spell it), the guitarist for rush, Pat metheny, Larry Carlton

Hendrix is a good guitarist, but extremely overrated. On my list i have him around 15.
