Drive-In, again ...

We're between movies at the drive-in. We just saw Wanted and in just a few minutes, The Incredible Hulk will start.

Here's some trivia for you. The first drive-in theatre opened in 1933 and by the 1950's there were 4000 drive-ins in the U.S.

Today, there are 384 remaining and the second oldest is still in operation in Pennsylvania, having been opened in 1934.

Some of my most favorite memories are of "Buck Night" on Saturday at Hamilton's Drive-In. We could take whatever number of people we could stuff into a car and head for the drive-in. Each car was $1.00 admission and many times there was a double feature. So if you took five people, that was about $.10 per movie per person.

I'm glad I was a part of that!
