'Coping' with an HIV diagnosis

Coping with an HIV diagnosis: "Apparently overwhelmed by a business deal gone bad and recently learning they were HIV-positive, two men in Midtown Atlanta attempted to end their lives earlier this month by placing their arms underneath a circular miter saw and lowering the blade until it chopped their limbs off.

The men amputated three of their arms before Atlanta police officers and emergency medical personnel rushed to their apartment building near 10th Street and Piedmont Avenue just after 10 a.m. on March 9. "
I wonder how they decided which one would die with two arms and which would die with one (it takes one arm to work the saw). I wonder if this incident will make them re-evaluate their relationship (they both lived). I wonder how traumatized the emergency personnel who entered the room are.

Given the choice of dying by sawing off my limbs or dying with HIV, I'll take the HIV. Sounds to me as if their mental health was in much more serious condition than their physical health.
