Sooner rather than later...

I assume every news organization in Austin will use the above headline this week. This Saturday brings the SBC Red River Shootout to Dallas. This is the annual game between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns. Texas has lost the last 4 consecutive meetings.

Texas (4-1, 1-1), which was held to 236 yards, was shut out for the first time since a 16-0 loss at Baylor on Nov. 22, 1980, a string of 281 games. The Longhorns were last blanked by the Sooners in a 27-0 loss on Oct. 14, 1972.
